Empress was a Chinese junk ship captained by Sao Feng and crewed by his pirates. It served as Feng's flagship.

The Empress makes its first appereance near an island. When Elizabeth Swann travels with Sao Feng (he thinks she's Calypso), Sao Feng dresses her as a Chinese Empress in the captain's cabin. He tries to kiss her, but she pushes him away. Then, the Flying Dutchman attacks the Empress and his captain Sao Feng dies when he is impaled by a wooden stake. Before dying, Sao Feng makes Elizabeth captain of the Empress.

When James Norrington helps Elizabeth and her crew to escape, she travels on the Empress to the Shipwreck Cove.
