In Jack We Trust! is a comic short story published in the March 2004 Disney Adventures, set in the Pirates of the Caribbean world and published under the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl title.
Synopsis
Commodore Norrington has gone under cover in Tortuga and has managed to corner Captain Jack Sparrow. Just then, Ana Maria come rushing in, yelling at Jack because he left her alone for a month after saying he was leaving for five minutes. When Norrington tries to arrest Jack, she pushes him away, saying that they could have their turn when she's done.
Taking advantage of the momentary distraction, Jack flees and both Ana Maria and Norrington chase him. Jack happens upon the governor of Tortuga's carriage. He quickly puts on the governor's hat and cloak. When Norrington catches up, Jack yells at Norrington for bringing armed soldiers into Tortuga, especially out of uniform, and threatens to arrest them as spies.
Just then, the real governor shows up. Jack escapes in the carriage as the governor threatens to arrest Norrington and his men as spies. Later, both Ana Maria and Norrington catch up with the carriage. Jack jumps up to Ana Maria and they quickly escape to a boat in which they escape.
